UC Irvine Extension Partners With NIRI To Launch Online Learning in Investor Relations
IRVINE, Calif. – July 10, 2001 – To meet the high demand for distance learning in the investor relations education market, UC Irvine Extension has partnered with the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) to launch two online courses – The Capital Markets and The Investment Process – in Fall 2001. The online courses are part of UC Irvine Extension's Investor Relations Certificate Program, the only certificate of its kind in Southern California for investor relations.
As a premier provider of educational programs in high-demand fields, UC Irvine Extension now gives individuals the opportunity to update their professional skills on the Web – a method that has become increasingly critical for professionals' busy schedules. Online students work directly with skilled and experienced instructors, all highly qualified leading industry experts approved by UCI.

The two new online courses are part of the core curriculum in the face-to-face Investor Relations Certificate Program that prepares candidates to disseminate information to shareholders, financial professionals, and potential investors about their company's value in the marketplace. The certificate is awarded on completion of seven required courses, entailing 180 hours of instruction.
